Job Description: Janitorial Person
Position Summary
We seek a reliable and detail-oriented Janitorial Person to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our facility. The ideal candidate will take ownership of ensuring a clean and organized environment for employees and visitors alike. This role requires physical stamina, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing common areas, offices, restrooms, and breakrooms.
- Dispose of waste and recyclables following company and environmental standards.
- Restock and maintain janitorial supplies, including paper products, soaps, and cleaning chemicals.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Maintain clean and safe walkways, entryways, and other high-traffic areas.
- Perform periodic deep-cleaning tasks, such as carpet cleaning, waxing floors, and washing windows.
- Follow cleaning schedules and document completed tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and OSHA regulations in cleaning practices.
- Communicate with management regarding supply needs, facility concerns, and areas requiring attention.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment and chemicals, including proper usage and safety procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and climbing ladders.
- Reliable transportation to meet the demands of the role.
- Good time-management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment for all employees and visitors.
Working Conditions
