Job Summary

Responsibilities

 The dock auditor role plays a crucial part in safely managing the shipping flow and ensuring the accuracy of outbound shipments.

  • Audit outbound shipments for correct part numbers, counts, labels, and packaging.
  • Inspect finished goods for contamination, damage, or coating issues before loading.
  • Verify shipping paperwork, such as bills of lading and customer documentation.
  • Communicate discrepancies to Shipping and Quality for quick resolution.
  • Maintain organized shipping records and assist with carrier scheduling.
  • Keep the dock area clean, organized, and compliant with all safety protocols.
  • Perform physical tasks including lifting 25–50 lbs., bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods during the shift.

Qualifications

  • Experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, or quality inspection preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.

  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Familiarity with barcodes, labeling systems, or shipping logistics is a plus.
  • Dependable attendance and strong communication skills.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed inside a busy manufacturing and warehouse facility.
  • Exposure to forklift traffic, shipping activity, and industrial equipment.
  • Requires lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for long periods.
  • Closed-toe shoes or work boots required.
