Job Description: Powder Coater
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. This position involves applying powder coatings to metal and other surfaces to meet customer specifications and industry standards. As a vital part of the production process, the Powder Coater ensures a high-quality finish while maintaining efficiency and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, and inspecting for defects.
- Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings with precision and consistency.
- Adjust equipment settings to achieve proper thickness, color, and finish as per specifications.
- Inspect finished parts for quality, ensuring a flawless finish and correcting any imperfections.
- Maintain powder coating equipment and ensure a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and ensure timely delivery of finished products.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in powder coating, painting, or similar finishing processes is highly desirable.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift parts weighing up to 50 lbs during an 8-hour shift.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills.
Work Environment
- Indoor production facility with exposure to coating materials and equipment.
- Comfortable work attire and closed-toed shoes or boots required.
- Fast-paced environment requiring focus and adherence to safety protocols.
Schedule
- Full-time position with an 8-hour shift.
- Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime or Saturday shifts as required.
